The World That Only I Know

Hongik University, Research Design Studio

Booklet, 2015

In a closed-off world where people no longer connect or acknowledge their neighbors, a sense of isolation prevails. The once familiar shops are now distant and unfamiliar, devoid of the warm exchanges that used to take place. Suspicion and uncertainty fill the air, leaving no room for nostalgia or contemplation of the lives around us.

With the “The World That Only I Know” project, I aim to break free from this desolation by fostering open connections and listening to the stories of others. Through a series of books, I have documented the diverse narratives that exist beyond my own limited perspective. This humble endeavor seeks to weave together the frayed threads of our superficial society, creating a tightly-knit fabric of genuine relationships.
