2017๋…„ 8๋ฒˆ์งธ ํ“จํœด์ „์˜ ์ฃผ์ œ๋Š” '0๊ณผ ๋ฌดํ•œ๋Œ€'๋กœ, 0๊ณผ 0์ด ๋งŒ๋‚˜ ๋ฌดํ•œ๋Œ€์ฒ˜๋Ÿผ ๋ณด์ด๋Š” ๊ธฐํ˜ธ๋ฅผ ๊ตฌ์„ฑํ•˜๋Š” ๊ฒƒ์—์„œ ์ฐฉ์•ˆํ•œ ๊ฒƒ์ด๋‹ค. ์ด๋Š” ์ฆ‰ '๋ฌด'์ด๋ฉด์„œ๋„ '๋ฌดํ•œ'์ธ ๋””์ž์ธ์˜ ๋ฌด๊ถ๋ฌด์ง„ํ•œ ๊ฐ€๋Šฅ์„ฑ์„ ์˜๋ฏธํ•œ๋‹ค.

๋‚˜๋Š” ์ด๋Ÿฌํ•œ ์ „์‹œ์˜ ํฐ ์ฃผ์ œ๋ฅผ ์—ญ์„ค์ ์ธ ์ปจ์…‰์˜ ์ฐฉ์‹œ ๊ทธ๋ž˜ํ”ฝ์— ๋‹ด์•˜๋‹ค. ํ•˜๋‚˜๋Š” ๋ณผ๋กํ•œ ๊ณต์ฒ˜๋Ÿผ ๋ณด์ด๋Š” ์›, ๋‹ค๋ฅธ ํ•˜๋‚˜๋Š” ์›€ํ‘น ํŒจ์ธ ๊ตฌ๋ฉ๊ฐ™์€ ์› ๋‘๊ฐœ๊ฐ€ ์„œ๋กœ ๋งˆ์ฃผ๋ณด๊ณ  ์žˆ๋Š”๋ฐ, ์ด ๋‘˜ ์‚ฌ์ด๋ฅผ ์˜ค๊ณ ๊ฐ€๋Š” ์„ ๋“ค์€ ๊ณต ์†์„ ํŒŒ๊ณ ๋“ค๊ธฐ๋„, ๊ตฌ๋ฉ์„ ๊ฐ์‹ธ๊ธฐ๋„ ํ•˜๋Š”๋“ฏํ•˜๋‹ค. ์ด๋Ÿฌํ•œ ์„ ๋“ค์€ ์„œ๋กœ ๋ฐ˜๋Œ€ ๊ธฐ์งˆ์„ ๊ฐ€์ง„ ๋‘ ์›ํ˜•์˜ ๊ด€๊ณ„๋ฅผ ์—ญ์„ค๊ณผ ๋ชจ์ˆœ์œผ๋กœ ์žฌ์ •์˜ํ•œ๋‹ค. ๋‚˜๋Š” ์ด ๊ทธ๋ž˜ํ”ฝ์„ ํ‚ค ๋น„์ฃผ์–ผ๋กœ ์‚ผ์•„ ์ „์‹œ์˜ ๋ชจ๋“  ํ™๋ณด๋ฌผ์„ ์ผ๊ด„ ๋””์ž์ธํ–ˆ๋‹ค.

As an art director of the 2017 Unified Regular Exhibition, 'F-H-YU Jeon', in the Department of Visual Communication Design and Industrial Design at Hongik University, I was in charge of all graphic identities of the exhibition.

The theme of the 8th F-H-YU Jeon in 2017 is "0 and infinity(∞)," which was conceived from the fact that 0 and 0 meet and form a symbol that looks like infinity(∞). This means the huge possibilities of a design that is both "blank" and "infinite."

I put these big themes of the exhibition into the illusions graphics of paradoxical concepts. One is a circle that looks like a convex ball, and the other is like a hollow hole. The lines that come and go between these two circles seem to penetrate the ball and wrap the hole. These lines redefine the two circular relationships with opposing substrates as paradoxes and contradictions. Using this graphic as a key visual, I designed all the promotional materials of the exhibition.
