방문이 닫혀 있다. 옆집에서는 무슨 일이 일어나는지 아무도 알지 못한다. 사람들은 자주 가는 가게의 주인에게 더는 안부를 묻지 않는다. 서로에 대한 경계와 의심의 시선만 스쳐 지나갈 뿐이다. 누군가를 돌아볼 여유도, 이웃을 떠올릴 한 치의 틈도 없다.
‘나만 아는 세상’ 프로젝트는 삭막해져가는 사회 분위기 속에서 타인의 인생을 듣고 소통함으로써 좀 더 열린 관계의 장을 경험하고자 한다. 나밖에 모르는 세상을 벗어나 그들의 세상에 귀를 기울인 모든 이야기를 책으로 담았다. 이는 나와 주변의 피상적 관계를 촘촘한 그물망으로 만들어 보려는 작은 노력이다.

The door is closed. No one knows what happens next door. People no longer share their regards with the owners of the shops they often go to. Only the vigilance of each other and the gaze of doubt pass by. There is no time to look back on someone or think of a neighbor.
The "World That Only I Know" project seeks to experience a more open field of relationships by listening to others' lives in the increasingly desolate social atmosphere. I made a series of books about all the stories that I listened to their world beyond my own knowledge. It is a small effort to make the rampant superficial relationship of society a tight net.
